Composite or ceramic veneers?

The choice depends on your teeth, your priorities and the treatment plan. Discuss appearance, tooth preparation, maintenance and cost at your consultation.

Composite veneers

Resin is shaped on your teeth. Composite is generally easier to repair, but is more prone to staining and wear.

Ceramic veneers

Custom-made shells with good stain resistance. The amount of preparation depends on your teeth and proposed treatment.

Questions to bring to your consultation

Will veneers suit my teeth?

Dr Jane needs to assess your teeth and bite before recommending treatment. Ask about alternatives such as whitening, bonding or orthodontic treatment where suitable.

Will my teeth need preparation?

Some enamel may need to be removed. The amount depends on your teeth and treatment. Enamel removal is irreversible, so discuss the plan and alternatives before deciding.

What should my quotation include?

Ask about consultation fees, scans, preparation, follow-up and any additional care. Veneers may need future repair or replacement.
